Amy Schusser, who joined GLCPS in 2012 as a visual arts teacher, is well-known in the local arts education community. Amy taught for over 15 years in local public schools and for more than 12 years at Artworks!, an arts center serving greater New Bedford. She received her bachelor's degree from Johnson State College in Vermont, and her master's degree at Ohio State University. A member of the New Bedford Art Museum, Amy has served on the New Bedford Open Studios committee and was an artist/facilitator for the Art-All-State program at the Worcester Art Museum for 8 years.
